If you visit the Seychelles the main reason is probably to experience all the breathtaking beaches you see online and enjoy your time relaxing under the sun, listening to the waves.
The Seychelles, located in the Indian Ocean, is home to some of the world’s most breathtaking beaches. With crystal-clear waters, powder-soft sands, and lush tropical surroundings, these islands are a paradise for beach lovers, honeymooners, and nature enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re seeking tranquility on a secluded shoreline or adventure beneath vibrant coral reefs, the Seychelles offers a variety of stunning beach experiences. In this post, we’ll take you through my personal top 6 beaches that should be on every traveler’s list when visiting this tropical haven.

Anse Lazio
Located north of the island you’ll find this picturesque beach. Consistently ranked among the world’s most beautiful beaches, Anse Lazio is a slice of paradise with its powdery white sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Framed by granite boulders and lush greenery, this beach is perfect for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling. Arrive early to secure a spot, as it can get crowded during peak hours. Don’t forget to bring your snorkeling gear to explore the vibrant coral reefs just offshore.
You can reach the beach by bus or car. Although the 20 minute walk to the bus station is not the most pleasant. The bus route and schedules can be checked locally as they may change frequently. The easier and faster way is getting a rental car. There are two different parking lots, both you have to pay for. We chose the one closer to the beach and paid 150 rupee for the day.

Petite Anse Lazio
Located next to Anse Lazio you’ll find the lesser known Petite Anse Lazio. This definitely counts as a hidden gem worth visiting. When you walk all the way to the far right side of Anse Lazio you’ll find a small path in between lush jungle. It’s quite narrow and rocky in some parts. If you follow that path you’ll find Petite Anse Lazio. The Walk takes around 10-15 minutes. This small beach is my personal favorite. Because of its remote location it’s very quiet, especially in the morning – it feels like true paradise.
Anse Georgette
Anse Georgette is one of the top beaches on the island. Located inside the Constance Lemuria Hotel but still open to the public. To visit you simply enter the hotel area after registration at the gate. There is no up front registration required to get in. To get to the beach you need to walk around 20 minutes through the golf course of the hotel. At the end you’ll be greeted by a stunning lagoon. The idyllic setting, with its soft sand and azure waters, makes it perfect for a peaceful day of relaxation and swimming.

Anse source d‘argent
Known to be one of the most photographed beaches in the world, Anse Source d‘Agent definitely deserves a place on your bucket list. Surrounded by the iconic granite boulders and palm trees. It’s the perfect beach to relax or snorkel as the waves are really calm.
To get to Anse Source d‘Agent you’ll have to enter L‘Union Estate. At the entrance you’ll have to pay a fee of 150 SCR per person. After you paid, they’ll give you a wristband to show you’ve signed in. Then you can continue riding your bike along the path, passing giant union rock. At the end of the road there is a place where you can park your bicycle. From there it’s a 10 minute walk to the beach. This is also the place where you can rent the famous crystal kayaks and paddle along the beach to see Anse Source d‘Agent from a different perspective.
Anse Patates
Anse patates is an idyllic, intimate white sand beach on the north coast of La Digue, perfect for those who are seeking a peaceful and less crowded experience. It is known for its stunning scenery, with pristine white sand, turquoise waters, and iconic granite boulders that are characteristic of the Seychelles.
It’s a perfect spot for relaxation or a quick swim, though it’s recommended to check the tides, as the water can be rough at times.

Petite Anse
Tucked away on the southwestern coast of Mahé, Petite Anse is a secluded slice of paradise. This beach, located inside the Four Seasons Resort, offers calm waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Petite Anse is surrounded by lush hills, making it a great place to relax or take in the beauty of the Seychelles. Even if you’re not staying at the resort, access to this beach is possible, and it’s well worth the visit for its tranquil atmosphere. At the entrance of the Four Seasons you need to check in as soon as that is done, you get a yellow bracelet which you need to return on your way out. The walk to the beach is quite easy and takes about 10 to 15 minutes.
